There’s nothing nicer than being able to stroll out from your holiday villa for a leisurely dinner, with no worries about parking or a designated driver, and that’s just one of the many reasons why we love U Caseddu. Converted from an old bergerie, this elegant house is ideal for anyone looking for a genuine village environment, whilst still being within easy reach of Porto Vecchio and the beach. From weekly Corsican concerts at the church to the excellent pizza van that visits on Tuesdays, this is your chance to experience the very best of local life right on the doorstep.
U Caseddu is absolutely beautiful both inside and out, rich in natural wood and stone to give a homely yet sophisticated feel. This would make a wonderful base for an active couple, with walking trails running directly from Sotta village into the surrounding countryside and beyond, and plenty of creature comforts when you come home after a day out exploring. The garden is lush, with Mediterranean plants creating a cocoon of green around the pool, and ancient olive trees where you can string up a hammock for a snooze in the shade.
Everything you need for day to day living is right here in Sotta village, from a bakery for your morning baguette to a mini-market for just about everything else. Best of all, there’s a choice of restaurants within just a few minutes’ walk, so you can sample the best of the local cuisine and fine Figari wines. The village location does mean that this house may not be as tranquil as our more rural properties, but we feel this is easily out-weighed by having so many facilities so close to hand.
