It’s tempting to say that this little hideaway is all about the views, and they are indeed breathtaking. You can’t help but feel deeply privileged looking out over the endless blue of the bay, the rugged hills of the peninsula and the Greek island of Symi in the far distance, but there’s more to this very charming villa than just a spectacular panorama.
Nestled into the hillside and surrounded by ancient olive trees, the villa sits unobtrusively in its own natural gardens. There are hints of the sort of dwelling that might have originally stood here, in the form of exposed stone walls and chunky wooden beams and doors, but Zeytin Evi is every inch the modern couple’s retreat: light-filled, contemporary and romantically private. You can see the sea from virtually every corner of the house and grounds, whether you’re reading in the seating area beyond the glorious pool or stretched out in the sunshine on a sunbed. And because we know that modern honeymoons sometimes mean that the children come too, there are two lovely bedrooms to accommodate the whole family if required.
Dusk at Zeytin Evi is a particularly magical time of day, as the setting sun burnishes everything with nature’s own rosy glow and the first stars begin to sparkle in the sky above Söğüt. If you're too busy soaking up the atmosphere to cook, there's an evening meal service, delivering delicious locally cooked food directly to your door; but if you feel like dinner out in this very pretty village, it's just a five-minute drive or taxi ride down to the beach and waterfront restaurants which are such a feature here. The entire Bozburun Peninsula is a protected natural environment, criss-crossed by walking paths and littered with ancient remains. The coast offers equally wonderful opportunities to explore, whether you want to charter your own craft or enjoy a relaxed gulet cruise around one of the most beautiful bays in Turkey.

Another great holiday in Sogut as it grows and develops, but manages to retain its charm. We will definitely be back.
Superb villa, in a secluded area of Sogut, perfect hideaway to relax, and enjoy the sunset in private. Highly recommend the villa, people so friendly. Will definitely return if we need to chill.
It was delightful to return to Zeytin Evi after two years. Sogut (pronounced Seryoot) has changed a lot in that time, with more prosperity evident in the amount of new housing and especially in the number and quality of the restaurants. But it is still "real" Turkey, and the views across the sea to the Greek island of Simi remain among the most beautiful we have seen anywhere in the world. There are local restaurants where you can sit on the terrace and enjoy inexpensive, delicious food and wine and watch the sun set on this glorious vista. The local people are extremely helpful, friendly and charming. Our local concierge was Nihat Dirik and he could not have been more helpful with all our requests. He was also a mine of information, and many people we spoke to knew him, which indicates how thoroughly he does his research on the area, and the breadth of his local contacts.
Our third visit to Sogut, we were delighted with Zeytin Evi. The villa is surprisingly secluded, has a stunning view, sunsets to die for &, apart from the distant call to prayer, is silent. What’s not to like?
We have had a wonderful time. Nihat was great organising, helping and sorting things out for us and made the entire stay more successful than it would have otherwise been.
We have had an amazing time – a little bit of heaven! Many thanks to Nihat for everything – a great help. Tips on food – just go local!!
We’ve had a wonderful week – the view is breathtaking on arrival and never failed to stun us for the duration of our stay. It’s been very hot, but this is a lovely villa just to laze around! We’ve not gone too far and enjoyed all the restaurants we visited but especially Nautilus in Söğüt. We used taxis in the evenings when necessary. Nihat, the concierge, can help with all bookings.
We enjoyed two wonderful weeks, the first in The Shepherd's Hut in Akyaka and the second in Zetyn Evi in Sogut. Both properties were first class and the Simpson rep for both places, Nihat, and his team were outstanding. Nihat was knowledgeable, responsive and friendly, advising on places to visit, booking restaurants and boat trips and generally enhancing our experience - we had a great time!
Our third stay at Zeyin Evi and just as wonderful as ever. We enjoyed eating at the villa using locally sourced food – veg, cheese, yufka from the market, meat from the butcher, fantastic box of king prawns from Söğüt.
Great holiday from a great holiday company. Used them for seven years now and they still offer brilliant value.
We have had a wonderful relaxing week in this superb villa, kept so beautiful by Vildar, with its stunning views and sunsets. This is our second visit to Söğüt and we echo all the previous comments of how unspoilt it is and how delightful and friendly all the locals are. We have been entranced by the swallows sweeping down and drinking from the pool. We definitely hope to return.
Wow, what a fantastic villa, our second trip with Simpsons to Turkey. Ist was to Akyakaa and we thought that was great but this villa is just a bit more special. The sunsets are just wonderful and to see them every evening is so special. Jess and Vildan perfect hosts.
The villa is superb and we had a really relaxing time.
Thank you to Jess for her prompt responses and knowledge and to Vildan for keeping the pool so clean. Wonderful as always, we'll be back.
Except for 2020 and 2021, we have been to glorious Sogut every year since 2008. We missed it all and are so glad to be back. All as lovely as ever, the food, the walks, the swimming, the villa and most of all the very special people. Huge thanks to Jessica and to Vildan. What a place.
First and foremost, massive thanks to Jess, Vilden and all the wonderful friendly locals. Whatever type of holiday you're looking for, it can be found or created in this paradise. Feel very blessed to have been able to make it here and experience this slice of heaven.
A wonderful fortnight. The villa, the views, the sea, the sights have all worked their magic. We've adored discovering the treats of Sogut and beyond. Boat trips, waterfalls, sunset dinners, village markets, fantastic variety of restaurants, paddle boarding, the amazing Jess, the beach etc etc. Thank you Simpsons for the perfect holiday.
Finally returned after our first visit in 2019. We enjoyed lazing around the villa and swimming in the pool, cooking/bbqs with ingredients from the Monday market, a drive to Serce seeing wild horses, tortoises, lizards and goats, and interactions with the many warm and friendly people we met.
We feel so lucky to have been able to return again to the little corner of paradise that Zeytin Evi & Sogut undoubtably are! The views, the sunsets, the wonderful local people, the food and the great support we have enjoyed from Vilden and Jess remain outstanding.
We came to Turkey looking for a week of total relaxation and seclusion and that's exactly what Villa Zeytin Evi and Sogut provided us with. A haven to relax, unwind and recharge! Amazing views, sunsets and star-gazing. A villa most definitely on 'a road less travelled'. As always, Simpson Travel provided a faultless service. Keep doing what you're doing Simpsons, you're quite simply the best! Many thanks to Vilden for showing such love and care to this special villa, and of course our daily bread deliveries. Thanks also to Jessica for her prompt help. One day we hope to return.
Our third time at Zeytin Evi and it didn't disappoint! The stunning views, the beautiful garden and pool – all immaculately kept – are a great antidote to a strange 2020! But it is the friendliness, warmth and hospitality of the locals that stay most in our minds. Thanks, of course, to Jess and Vlidan for looking after us and for whom nothing was too much trouble. Can't wait till next year!
Excellent holiday at Zeytin Evi with the usual high standard of accommodation and service. Our 8th visit to Turkey with Simpson. Huge thanks as ever to Jessica for all her helpful suggestions and support when needed. We are looking forward to returning soon.
We have had a wonderful week in Zeytin Evi with amazing views and sunsets. Thanks to Jess for dealing with any requests so promptly and for her help at Dalaman airport during the Thomas Cook failure. Also to Vildan for her daily bread delivery and cooking us amazing mezes when we wanted a night in after a day at sea. A very special place and holiday.
Another lovely holiday in Zeytin Evi – we have been coming to Turkey for eight years and this is the best villa we have found. Fabulous sunsets, beautiful gardens and pool. Thanks Jess for being very helpful, helping us have a great holiday again. Vildan, thank you for our bread every morning and looking after the villa. We will be back! Love this place!
Really great service by Simpson. Everything went smoothly and our rep, Jessica, was very professional and very helpful when we required any information.
Superb from beginning to end thank you! Zeytin Evi is in such a beautiful setting and the support we have had from Jess, Vilden and Hilary has been second to none.
We really didn’t want to leave this beautiful villa, so well cared for by Vildan. Jess has been helpful and accommodating. Still can’t get over these amazing views. So sorry to be leaving.
This has been our third visit to Söğüt, its beauty and people never fail to impress us. It’s our first time in Zeytin Evi and we love it so much so we are returning in July 2019. We have encountered all the wildlife from donkeys to wild turkeys (in the middle of the road) to sheep, goats, cats, kittens and a randy dog at the Aroma restaurant who took a real fancy to my husband! Mehmet’s restaurant at the seafront is as good as always, lovely food and amazing family. Thank you to Vildan for our daily bread delivery and for her care and attention in looking after villa and us. Thank you to Jessica who offers service second to none with nothing being too much trouble. Can’t wait to return.
We’ve had several trips to Turkey – this is the BEST villa with a most amazing view. Although we like Simpson Secrets for seclusion, we did enjoy a visit to Ciftlik – a lovely breakfast watching the taverna owners dash along the jetties, waving their flags to get the sailing boats onto their jetties! Swimming in the sea was lovely, no stones to climb over! Only found one good iced coffee (iced latte) in Selmiye – a small taverna which had a cat on their poster (some notices had been taken down due to very windy weather). We did drive to the Olive farm (approximately 100 miles there and back) – even bought a few gifts to take back. But it seems the café only does drinks now, no food. The Bee place – well worth a visit, excellent video in English, good displays, etc. We bought a 2kg tin of honey for 65TL – but be careful, the plastic carrier is not strong. All in all, a wonderful holiday – also many thanks for Jess and Vildan.P.S. Local roadside tavern, through the village, right towards Bozburun. Ambience rural, food excellent and organic.
Zeytin Evi is spectacularly located and a great place to stay. The views are amazing and the local people very welcoming.
Our 11th visit to glorious Söğüt. All as wonderful as ever – glorious walks, delicious meals and fabulous scenery. Most of all, the lovely friendly people with never-ending smiles and waves. Another terrific holiday of stimulation and relaxation – just perfect! Thanks to Jessica and Vildan for all that they do to create such comfort. Next year booked! Back home refreshed and invigorated.
The villa guest book is actually an excellent guide – and we did pretty much everything mentioned. Particular highlights were the waterfalls (definitely go early as we had the place to ourselves at 9.30), the carpet factory and trips on Mutho’s boat (breakfast and lunch sessions both great). We liked Thyssanos most, but also really enjoyed chatting to lovely Nursen at Zeytin Café and to Cybele at Badem Çiçeği in Kizilyeve (a lovely family-run restaurant making the utmost of what’s produced locally). But mostly it’s the peace of Zeytin Evi that you will really enjoy – punctuated by the donkey and the echoing call to prayer. Depending on the phase of the moon, do use the loungers for some star gazing. Our thanks to Jess – who couldn’t do enough for us – and to Vildan who quietly looks after the villa superbly.
We’ve really enjoyed our second visit to the Bozburun Peninsula and our first at Zeytin Evi which has been the best villa we’ve stayed in with a wonderful location and views. Many thanks to Jess for all her help and taxi/restaurant bookings, and Vildan for the care and attention of the villa. We’ve not had the need to travel far, and all the better for it, enjoying Söğüt village life, but some of our highlights included: Captain Muflu and his brother for two great days at sea, Zeytin Café for lunch and Stella the really lovely owner (well worth heading there for lunch when spending a day at the pool – make sure you get the carob pods) and the small village café on the Bozburun road after the village. Panorama café for superb views over a village breakfast. Yalibasi Yasemin for friendly service and the best white grouper, and probably the best fish during our holiday. Thyssanos – the best restaurant all round, lovely food, great presentation and friendly service. All in all, we don’t want to leave such a beautiful location. Thanks for a very memorable holiday.
Zeytin Evi is a beautiful villa and one of the best we have stayed in. Lots of room with good quality furnishings, in particular the outside furniture and sunbeds. The grounds are very well maintained and spacious. The views are outstanding and the Söğüt area is lovely part of the Bozburun peninsula. Quiet village life, but with more than enough restaurant options that you don’t need to venture far. The taxi to the seafront is only a short 5-minute drive, so we never had the need to use our car during the evening. We really enjoyed our two weeks there and getting to know the village, as well as being part of this friendly community during our stay. Thank you Simpson Travel and your local representative, Jessica, for helping make this a great family holiday.
Zeytin Café is a must! Five-minute walk from the villa – arrive at the crossroads and go straight on – it’s on the right-hand side. Lovely host – lovely food – lovely setting – and much more typical of village life. Two words – absolutely perfect!
Thank you for another memorable holiday. Zeytin Evi – we’ve tried the rest, but we’ve settled on the best! We will definitely be back.
This was our first trip to Turkey and won’t be our last. Zeytin Evi was the most wonderful location for our mini-moon and will live long in our memories. Highly recommend Deniz Kizi down at the beach for dinner and mention that you’re staying at the villa for special service! Jessica is a fantastic rep and Vildan did a great job keeping the villa in pristine condition.
A great holiday in super villa.
We have enjoyed a wonderful fortnight in this beautiful villa – the views are amazing, forever changing with the different light during the day and the sunsets are amazing! Enjoyed walking the many tracks and footpaths in and around the village – lovely to see the local villagers and their small holdings – just hope this peaceful part of Turkey doesn't get spoilt by too many tourists!! Well done Simpson Travel for yet another amazing location – definitely off the beaten track!!!
Our tenth visit to Söğüt and all as lovely as ever. The villa is splendid (overall the best we have had), Vilda has kept all looking good and terrific to have a garden with well cared for lawn (unusual for Turkey). Jessica is very much more than the usual 'rep' and her expertise, efficiency and smile have been invaluable. As usual the glory of Söğüt is in the wonderful friendly people, inspiring views and all the fabulous walks )Taslica to Serce is a trip through the old and traditional Turkey – two hours each way). Just the most relaxing and enjoyable holiday where my stress quickly vanished. Next year already booked!
First time to Zeytin Evi and it will not be our last! Amazing holiday, even the teenagers enjoyed the quiet and peaceful Söğüt. Jess was super helpful and Vildan did a great job of keeping the house and gardens looking spectacular. Can recommend the waterfalls (we got there before 10am and had the pools to ourselves). Markets are well worth a visit – in Söğüt, its on Monday. Fish and meat from the local shops are also good.
One of the best holidays to Turkey we have experienced. Absolutely everything perfect from start to finish. Simpson Travel will find 'the right property for the right person'. Thank you Simpson Travel.
Zeytin Evi is a perfect villa. Everything and anything we needed. The views are wonderful and it's such a peaceful place. The local people are very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. Fantastic fresh food made for a wonderful holiday. Nothing was too much trouble for Jessica and her local knowledge was excellent. We could go on but it was just a fabulous place, making for a fabulous holiday. Thank you.
We love Söğüt and Zeytin Evi. It will be very difficult to keep us away from this truly spectacular location, friendly people and a taste of real Turkey; we are missing it already!
Zeytin Evi was wonderful. Amazing views and very well equipped. The location was very quiet and very special and unspoiled.
