NEW FOR 2025

Tucked away just a ten-minute stroll from one of the loveliest beaches in the area, Villa Roc e Fiore takes the design concept ‘less is more’ and executes it perfectly. Outside is all sharp, clean lines, softened by the organic curves of Corsica’s signature granite boulders encircling the pool area. There’s a wooden deck for enjoying your morning coffee, or perhaps a final nightcap by the flood-lit swimming pool as the stars come out above you.

Inside you’ll find elegantly furnished spaces, filled with light thanks to the glass doors that open on three sides of this clever little cube. It’s a magical spot for a couple or small family, where you could easily spend your whole day in a swimsuit, enjoying the Mediterranean warmth and the comfort of this petite but very stylish villa.

The north Corsica coastline is fringed by beautiful beaches, and nearby Ghjunchitu is one of our favourites. Staying at Roc e Fiore puts you just a ten-minute walk from its soft sand and gorgeously clear water, with a very handy beach bar/restaurant open during the main season for lunches, cocktails and dinner by the sea. This beach is family-friendly and gently shelving, with a sandy bottom for tender little feet. If you’re feeling a tiny bit adventurous, you can also follow the maze of narrow paths that snake through the maquis to discover other little beaches and rocky coves that you might well have completely to yourselves, at least for an hour or two. For shopping, more beaches and a wide choice of places to eat, you’re just a five minute drive from charming Ile Rousse in one direction, and about 30 minutes from Calvi and its impressive citadel in the other. For a relaxed way to see more of the coast, you can take a trip on the Trinichellu train that trundles along the coast just below the house.

Villa Roc e Fiore belongs to the same owner as our Villa Mare; the properties share a driveway but are otherwise completely independent of one another.

With fishermen mending their nets by the harbour, Calvi’s maritime heritage remains intact. However, the town has gained a new lease of life in the cafés and bars along Quai Landry, linking the marina and the port, with stretches of beach beyond.

Inland, the unspoilt beauty of The Balagne tells a different story of mountain wildernesses and the island's unspoilt and uniquely fragrant maquis. Follow the Route des Artisans through terracotta-tiled hilltop villages, overlooking a landscape of forests and mountains, and you’ll also find that an excellent glass of local wine is never far away.

Choose a holiday in Calvi & The Balagne and one of our handpicked luxury villas will put you in the heart of this diverse and beautiful destination.
