Why do you work in travel?

I fell into it by default having been headhunted whilst on holiday here on Ithaca 20 years ago! Initially I kept up my 'real' job in the winter in the UK, but in 2008 I found I was enjoying my travel job so much I took it on as my permanent role.

Why do you love your destination?

I am totally at home on this small island of under 3000 inhabitants. No other island I have visited has such breath-taking scenery, kind and friendly people with a desire to please its visitors and make them feel welcome.

Your top tip…

Ithaca is all about slowing down and living in the moment, so take your time, focus on life's little pleasures and just enjoy this gorgeously relaxing place.

Not a lot of people know this but…

Prior to moving to Ithaca, I spent 40 years in the nursing profession. It was a wonderful experience and gave me many skills for working in travel - there is very little that shocks me!
