Island Concierge, Kefalonia

You in a nutshell…

Life is for living is my motto! I'm a curious and adventurous person and I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life.

Why do you work in travel?

I have a passion for exploration and a desire to connect with diverse cultures. I find it very fulfilling to share my favourite places and experiences with people - it feels a bit like getting that first thrill of discovery over and over again.

Why do you love your destination?

Kefalonia, with its stunning landscapes, crystal-clear waters and rich history, offers a unique charm. I admit I'm a bit biased as a long-term resident, but it really is breath-taking, with endless opportunities for exploration and relaxation. I'm still discovering new hidden secrets every year.

Your top tip…

Whilst on Kefalonia, look out for the endangered loggerhead turtles in Argostoli harbour.  Go early morning when the fishermen are selling the fish. This is the best time when the turtles are most active and likely to be spotted swimming around the boats.

Not a lot of people know this but…

Kefalonia was under British protection during the 19th century until 1864.  During this period, the British made various contributions to the infrastructure and administration of the island.
