NEW FOR 2025

It’s hard to imagine a more appealing base than Villa Artemesia from which to explore the incredible Dalyan area, with its extraordinary rich mix of natural and historical treasures. Set within walking distance of Dalyan town, the villa is one of four riverside properties, each with its own colourful garden that extends all the way down to the river’s edge. Here the owners have created a small beach, equipped with a jetty where you can sit and survey the quiet beauty of the scene, or set off by kayak or paddle-board to explore the river at your own pace. You can swim in these calm waters too, or if you prefer the sea, you can reach fabulous Iztuzu beach in 15 minutes by car or 30 minutes by boat. Iztuzu is famous as an important breeding ground for loggerhead turtles; you can visit the turtle rehabilitation centre and learn more about local conservation work, or if you’re lucky you might get to paddle alongside one in the river at the end of your garden.

Located just across the river from Ancient Kaunos, this region is steeped in myth and history, which makes for a wonderful contrast with the modern design and immaculate finish of Villa Artemisia. The owner has gone to great lengths to ensure your stay here is as indulgent as possible, with a host of optional extras on offer, from massage and beauty treatments to meal deliveries or a private chef. If you enjoy holiday cooking, then you’ll love the outdoor kitchen, a rare find in Turkey and equipped to the max, including a portable air-con unit to make meal prep a breeze even in the height of summer. The views all around are lovely, especially from the upper floor balconies which look out over the gardens to the river and rock faces beyond. They’re also a great vantage point to spot the many species of birdlife that frequent this conservation area, including kingfishers, bee-eaters, storks, kestrels and herons.

When the time is right for a little more buzz, you can walk into Dalyan in ten minutes, or hire a bike to get you around this flat, cycle-friendly area with ease (two bikes are included for your stay). Dalyan is full of tempting riverside restaurants, as well as being your start point for a range of interesting activities, from boat trips, breakfast cruises and mud baths to longer excursions into the traditional countryside and villages inland.

The rare combination of luxury accommodation and your own river beach in a stunning conservation area puts these villas in a class of their own, offering outstanding value compared to other similar properties in the region.

Good to know… to make the most of this fabulous location, we can arrange selection of local activities and excursions, including: a breakfast cruise on Lake Koyceigz, dinner with views of the Kings’ Tombs (by boat or in a prime riverfront restaurant), early mud baths in the quiet of morning, a visit to the turtle centre, tours to other Dalyan beaches reachable only by boat, a guided tour of Ancient Kaunos or a full day gület cruise visiting the islands of Fethiye Bay.

Imbued with the spirit of the water, the landscape around the Dalyan Delta makes for an unforgettable holiday. Dalyan itself is a bright, bustling community and numerous canopied river taxis and small fishing boats bob along its quayside, with a cluster of restaurants, small shops and cafés nearby. The waterways are also a haven for wildlife, including the rare loggerhead turtle and, further along the river, you’ll find ancient Lycian rock tombs and idyllic Köyceğiz Lake, with beautiful Iztuzu beach also within easy reach.
