The west Messinian coast is spectacular and unspoilt, with development strictly limited by the Zone of Special Protection that covers the entire Navarino bay. Villa Onyx is the largest of the Nests, spread over two adjacent buildings that combine to sleep ten in deep, luxurious comfort. The villa's architecture maximizes a sense of openness, with lofty ceilings and rooms flooded with natural light. Building one is your social hub, with two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a vast, glass-fronted living area that leads out to the pool. In building two there are three further bedrooms, a second smaller kitchen and a private gym. It’s a wonderfully flexible layout for two families or a multi-generation party, and the Messinian Nest staff can tailor a host of optional extras to keep everyone entertained. Enjoy a cookery class or jewellery-making session in the comfort of your own villa, or sign the younger ones up for the summer kids golf lessons at Costa Navarino just around the bay. Adults can take advantage of special green fees at the four Costa Navarino courses, and for a special occasion, a yacht charter is a fabulous family experience.

Beyond the tranquillity of your villa, the area boasts pristine, sandy beaches encircling the protected Navarino Bay, with Gialova’s gentle shore just seven minutes away by car. This charming coastal village is perfect for families, featuring a variety of cafes and restaurants, along with a gently-shelving sandy beach and watersports in the main season. A little way to the north, Voidikilia beach is simply idyllic, with a lagoon full of protected birdlife to the rear and an arc of golden sand and shallow sea to the fore. Driving south along the bay you come to Pylos, a postcard-perfect harbour town full of tempting places to eat, crowned by its 16^th C castle, superbly restored and just the place for junior knights and princesses to let their imagination run wild.
