Southern Corsica is famed for its spectacular, fine-sand beaches, often more reminiscent of the Indian Ocean than the Med, so this beautiful, Bali-inspired villa feels very much at home here. With its low profile, timber-clad walls and emphasis on natural materials, Villa Grazie switches you instantly into barefoot summer mood, and indeed guests are encouraged to leave shoes at the door to protect the beautifully painted concrete floors. The soothing neutral palette continues throughout, creating a wonderfully relaxing environment to spend time with family and friends.
The villa has four bedrooms in the main house, plus a separate guest annexe, offering extra flexibility for a mixed or multi-generation party. After a day by the pool, at the beach or perhaps exploring Corsica’s magnificent mountainous interior, the large covered terrace beckons, with its comfy rattan sofas and lights to cast a romantic glow as day fades into evening. It’s an inviting corner for drinks before dinner in Bonifacio’s old town, which is eerily atmospheric after the day visitors have left, or down on the port for some super-yacht spotting to accompany the fish of the day. And thanks to Villa Grazie’s excellent location, you can get in and out of Bonifacio on the back roads, thus avoiding any holiday traffic. Eating in is equally tempting, with a rustic table for ten built around the trunk of a venerable old olive tree for long lazy lunches, or dinner in the velvety warmth of a high summer night.
Each of the nearby beaches has its own character and attractions, so whether you’re looking for watersports, beach bars or just white sand and clear turquoise sea, you’ll find it all within a 10 to 15-minute drive of Villa Grazie.
Good to know: the garden at Villa Grazie is being extended over the winter to provide an additional lawn area with boules pitch and hammock for summer 2025.
