At the start of 2025, we launched Simpson Signature: our finest luxury villas in Greece, Turkey, Italy, Mallorca and Corsica. Sarah Barnes, our dedicated Signature specialist, explains what this new collection is all about.
Where did the concept come from?
For a long time, our top luxury villas sat in a collection called Simpson Exclusive, but increasingly we felt that this terminology didn’t really convey the hand-picked nature of what we were offering. The Signature villas are obviously the best in their class, but they’re also a reflection of 40+ years of travel industry experience, and the knowledge we’ve gained by listening to our guests over all that time. We know that high levels of comfort and fabulous facilities really matter to Simpson Travellers, so we focused on the villas had the highest grade in both these categories, and Simpson Signature was born.
Sounds amazing. What exactly do the criteria cover?
Well, ‘comfort’ means what you can expect in terms of space, style and overall furnishings. So, in addition to generously-proportioned rooms and thoughtful design throughout, there’s an emphasis on superior quality for things like mattresses, pillows, linens and outdoor furnishings – basically everything you would want to ensure you feel totally relaxed and pampered on holiday. ‘Facilities’ refers to all the enhancements that a luxury villa offers. There’ll always be at least one private pool of course, there may also be a home cinema, a gym or a tennis court, or perhaps a private jetty with direct access to the sea. They also score highly in our other grading categories – in quite a few cases 5/5 across the board – so you can expect wonderful views and convenient access to beaches, restaurants and more. Who is the Signature collection designed for?
These luxury villas are ideal for celebrations, so often it’s guests looking to mark a special occasion like an anniversary or a milestone birthday with a multi-generation party. But it could equally be busy people who just want some extra help to find a top quality property – the Signature brand acts like a short-cut when you know want a luxury villa but don’t have time to sift through 100s of options. We have Signature properties sleeping from just 6, so they’re not just aimed at big groups either, and some of them make great honeymoon villas.
Beyond the comfort and facilities, what other perks can Signature guests expect?
Our whole company is built around attentive, pre-emptive service that starts the moment you first contact us, and naturally this also applies to those staying in Signature villas. Additionally, we can arrange a video consultation with me or one of my colleagues at a mutually convenient time, so you can invite other members of your group to join and ask any details about the villa and the area if you wish. You’ll also get Fast Track passes for airport security in the UK where available, and an upgraded welcome hamper waiting for you on arrival. You’ll have the services of our Pre-Departure team too, and they can pre-book all the extra little treats like boat hire or private catering, so all you have to do is turn up and enjoy.
