Winding up a small footpath by the coast just a stone’s throw from the delightful bay of Kaminaki brings you to an extraordinary house perched on the hillside with stunning views across the bay. This house is a result of one Greek couple’s dedication over a period of six years to build their ‘dream’ home.
Bright, light and contemporary with comfortable open living spaces, clean lines and a state-of-the-art kitchen, The Light House manages to combine a degree of sophistication with a truly relaxing ambience. Built on three floors, the master suite on the top floor has its own private spacious terrace, whilst the infinity swimming pool with its magnificent views and cleverly designed porthole features will surely captivate.
This exceptional property is a haven for both families and couples who require privacy and yet are still just a short walk down the coastal path to picturesque Kaminaki, a quiet and understated fishing village with its two tavernas and white pebbled beach. Small motor boats and water sports are also available nearby whilst for the more energetic, a tennis court awaits, just a 15-minute stroll along the coastal path.

After many visits to Nissaki over 15 years, we’ve finally made it to The Light House. And what a treat – our favourite trip of all. Thank you for sharing this beautiful home with its amazing views over Kaminaki. We’ve loved staying in the village. Such an idyllic and quiet beach and the perfect hub for coastal walks to Kalami and Porta. Whether enjoying 6am moonlight swims in the pool, or lounging on the lilo, we’ve loved spending time around the pool – such a private and relaxing space where you can watch the world go by. The walks up and down the hill have burned a few calories, which is just as well considering our nightly trips to Vitamins! Delicious dinners as ever! A perfect couple of weeks. We have been so lucky with the weather – wall-to-wall sunshine throughout. Already planning our next visit.
Back again after 10 years to this amazing villa and it hasn’t disappointed. The villa and view remain amazing in a lovely, peaceful setting. Recommendations for food are Vitamins (great hosts), Agni Taverna, a short walk to Yiannis Taverna and Kristo and Anna at Thalassa in the village. Feeling fatter but fitter from the food and the numerous steps to the villa, but very chilled and refreshed after an amazing holiday. Would love to come back but better not leave it another 10 years or the steps may get the better of us!

Another wonderful family holiday with Simpson travel, who we have found make everything so easy and enjoyable. Staying in the Light House felt like such a privilege, the villa is stunning, well appointed, comfortable and with breathtaking views from every window. The steps up to it are steep and you cross a section of pebbled beach to access the property, so pack lightly. The villa's position is idyllic, offering total privacy, yet only a moments walk down to the beach. Kalami has two great tavernas, Thalassa served the best octopus we've ever tasted and staff were super friendly; while Taverna on the Rocks, accessed by an extremely rickety staircase, had a real Shirley Valentine feel about the setting, as well as delicious fresh fish and baked feta. The beach has a water sports company, boat hire, paddle boards and Kayaks. And you can easily walk along to Nisaki beach with another taverna, free sun loungers and more sports. We felt refreshed and relaxed after an amazing week. Thank you.
The Lighthouse is quite an exceptional villa providing an amazing vista all day long. As always the Simpson Travel service was top notch and Anna and Barda exemplified their very high standards. If you enjoy your stay as much as we have, you’ll have a really tremendous holiday.
We felt very privileged to be staying at The Light House; it is a stunning property, and the view is breathtaking. Even though we’d seen the photos beforehand, the reality surpassed our expectations by far. Yes, there is a climb to reach the villa, and the hill out of the village is very steep indeed. As we are able-bodied, we used these hills as our daily exercise, and managed to go home weighing a little less and feeling a lot fitter! The weather in October was astonishingly good; sunbathing temperatures but not oppressively hot. Finally, our concierge Debbie was amazing! She helped us in so many ways, and nothing was too much trouble for her. I am usually ready to go home by the end of a holiday, but this time I was heartbroken to leave!

The Lighthouse was an exceptional place to stay and it was our second visit there. Extremely well equipped and very homely. What a wonderful week we have had. Highlights included a hike to the top of Mount Pantokrator, dinner at O Foros in the deserted villa of Old Perithia, the Governor Olive Oil Tour and tasting with the owner George was fantastic, hiring a boat from Dimitri at Kaminaki and a late lunch at the Eucalyptus at San Stefanos. Another amazing holiday with Simpson! The accommodation was spectacular. Our villa concierge was super helpful with some local recommendations, there were so many lovely things to do and places to eat, and we wished we could have stayed for longer!

Superlative, outstanding, the most beautiful place we’ve stayed. Facilities of the villa are superb. Views and easy access to everything we could want. Sea warm and crystal clear, ideal for snorkelling. Hired a motor boat and explored the coast with lunch at The White House. Our little cove reminded me of the film version of Shirley Valentine, so peaceful and relaxing. Genuinely sad to go. With many thanks.

The Lighthouse in Kaminaki is fabulous. The steps to get to it are worth it for the amazing panoramic views. It’s close enough to the hamlet and beach to appreciate the atmosphere, but far enough to create privacy and tranquility. The Light House is an amazing villa with stunning views that we will all treasure forever. The infinity pool was pure bliss. Even though there are a number of steps to reach this treasure, it kept us fit. Once you arrive at the top each time, the spectacular vista takes your breath away.
Everything about our holiday exceeded expectations. Despite the arduous climb to the property, we felt the effort was worthwhile, for the style and position was unsurpassed and quite breathtaking. Debbie, our Simpson Travel rep was extremely welcoming and efficient, suggesting many ways in which we could take advantage of this beautiful island, for instance, where to park when visiting Corfu Town and recommending the best restaurants and tavernas where we could sample the delicious and varied local cuisine.
