One of three terracotta-coloured villas overlooking Polis Bay, Elia Beach Villa enjoys magical views across to Kefalonia and the private west-facing terrace is a wonderful spot to sit and watch the local fishing boats head out in the early evening. The sunsets here are spectacular and there’s a barbecue when you’re inspired to cook the catch of the day while you enjoy the sundowner of your choice. When you’re in need of a refreshing dip, a two-minute stroll will take you down to the beach where sunbeds and shades are available for hire and you’ll find a simple kantina serving delicious food and drinks throughout the day.
The accommodation feels spacious and comfortable, with two en-suite bedrooms (a double and a twin) and though Elia Beach Villa is one of a collection of three villas overlooking the bay, it enjoys a good degree of privacy with everything needed for a relaxing break on this idyllic island. The traditional village of Stavros on the hill is a 5-minute drive or 25-minute walk away - perfect for everyday essentials and a small selection of tavernas. Charming Frikes by the water is a further 10-minute drive and offers a wider variety of dining options. Self-drive boat hire is readily available for exploring the island from the sea and back on terra firma our Local Concierge can advise on guided walks and art workshops which can be arranged on request.
Elia Beach Villa shares a driveway with Lemonia Beach Villa and Rhodia Beach Villa. The three houses are independent and perfectly suited to private bookings but collectively, they also work well for multi-generational gatherings or groups of friends travelling together.

As usual our holiday was well managed by Simpson Travel, everything was well timed and made the journey to and from villa stress free. The villa itself was clean and the minor problems were sorted quickly and efficiently by the wonderful rep Judith, who always goes above and beyond to ensure your holiday goes smoothly!
Peaceful, beautiful, lovely, relaxed and people who are so friendly and help you carry your shopping to the car at the local supermarket. Polis Beach is perfect and so nice to have such a short walk from the villa – ideal for teenagers who want to do their own thing and work to their own timetable. Villa has fantastic views and so calming to wake up in the morning and hear the sheep bleating and the birds singing whilst the water laps gently on the pebbles. Would recommend a trip to Exogi for dinner – great homecooked food by the owner and the most fantastic views of the cliffs. We have loved our stay and we will be back. Thank you to Judith for all her help with rearranging everything due to the easyJet strike.
The loveliest Greek island I’ve been to and the kindest, gentlest and most helpful islanders. They really look after it – not a scrap of litter. We found the north of the island quite enough to keep us busy for the week. The beach here was really relaxing. The villa is fine, basic Simpson, but that’s a cut above most of the competition, and Judith is the Queen of Concierges.
Villa Elia is superb. Its location is peaceful, quiet and has superb views over the valley and Polis Bay. The beach has a simple taverna , it's souvlaki and cold beer were ideal for the evening of our arrival. Stavros has everything we needed for a self-catering Holiday including an excellent local bakery and friendly local taverna called Delicious. Our rep Judith was excellent and the service she gave is typical of Simpson standards, nothing was too much trouble and her local knowledge , faultless. Ithaca is a quiet island and won't be for everyone but if that's what you are seeking, it's ideal.
A fabulous week – so lucky with the weather after apparently a very wet spring. Judith was very helpful pointing us to the delights around, particularly the northern half of the island. Lovely walks around Kioni and a delight watching the yachts coming in and out. A relaxing, beautiful holiday on this unique island – so unspoiled. Thank you.

We have just returned from a wonderful family holiday staying in Elia and Rhodia villas in Ithaca. Before we left England, we were in touch with our local representative, Judith who answered all our questions very efficiently. She continued to help us throughout our stay. The villas were extremely well equipped and comfortable. The view across Polis bay was absolutely stunning. A joy to wake up to each morning. We had lots of fun on the local beach and were always well looked after by the charismatic Beach Manager! Stavros, the local village is charming, with a good range of shops and tavernas. Frikes and Kioni are picturesque little harbours a short drive away. For us, this has been yet another successful and thoroughly enjoyable Simpsons holiday.
We had a wonderful 2-week holiday on Ithaca in the delightful Elia Beach House on the edge of Polis Bay. Simpson Travel had been highly recommended and they did not disappoint. The lead up to the holiday was well organised and I felt very well informed. We had some lengthy delays UK side at the beginning, albeit everything went very smoothly once we arrived in Greece. Judith went above and beyond during the trip, even organising a hot meal for our extremely belated arrival and personally directing us to Elia at nearly 1am. She kept in touch throughout the two weeks and was both charming and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble including printing off our Covid test results and the PLFs – thank you Judith! The villa itself was clean, spacious and with utterly fabulous views. It was located close to the beach and within a small development of two other villas. Ithaca is a stunning island, plenty of great tavernas, and incredibly friendly, welcoming people. The beaches are also lovely – beach shoes were a last minute addition to the luggage and a sensible one as the beaches are mainly pebbles. We even hired a boat to take into a few hidden coves – great fun. The taxis on arrival and departure together with the sea taxi arrived on time, again all accompanied by welcoming friendly people. An amazing holiday – thank you Simpson Travel.
