Villa Porphyra is the largest in a cluster of three smartly contemporary new properties which make up Arenaria Villas, along with Villa Oleana and Villa Santolina, close to both Ayios Ioannis beach and the many charms of Lekfada town. The house is well located for discovering all that this diverse island has to offer, from pottering about in boats, flying across the bay on a kite surf or exploring its vibrant green and surprisingly traditional heart.
There’s nothing traditional about Villa Porphyra however; the décor is stylish, all the bedrooms are en-suite, and clever lighting makes the pool and terrace areas feel like outdoor rooms as evening falls. There are shady spots on the dining terrace so you can relax here even in the heat of the day, but if you prefer the feel of sand between your toes, take a short stroll down to the beach at Ayios Ioannis where you’ll also find cafés and tavernas for your morning coffee or a light lunch. The sunsets from this west-facing stretch of coast are superb, a nightly spectacle that never fails to impress. Lefkada town is an appealing hotchpotch of old and new, relaxed and family friendly with a swanky marina full of luxury yachts to add to the mix, all just ten minutes away by car.

Great villa, one of the best equipped we’ve stayed in and in a lovely location just 10 mins walk to the beach, local tavernas and bars. The Simpson Travel service and organisation was faultless - would definitely recommend and book again in the future.

A fab holiday at Villa Porphyra in Lefkada- villa was great, really well equipped and in a lovely location in the hills just 5 min walk from the beach and several tavernas and bars. Just had a week in Lefkada Greece. Our first time with Simpson Travel and will most certainly not be our last. From start to finish they were fantastic. The accommodation was exactly as it was stated on their website and was of a very good quality. We have nothing to complain about at all. Every aspect of the holiday and accommodation was spot on. The end to end experience surpassed my expectations and from the initial advice through to getting home was an easy experience. I have always booked breaks independently but I would definitely use Simpson again. I must also mention the concierge who just wanted to make sure you had the best time and nothing was too much trouble.
