This beautiful light-filled villa is the antidote to every grey day and chilly evening the British weather can throw at us – and it comes with the irresistible advantage of being just a ten-minute walk from the beaches and turquoise waters of Cala San Vicente. Stylish and contemporary, it’s one of the new generation of Mallorquín villas: a luminous, creatively designed residence of the palest silver-coloured stone, where floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors and spacious interiors ensure there’s not a dark corner in the house. And what better way to wake up than with views of the Tramuntana Mountains from your bedroom?
The accommodation is spread across three floors and there’s little sense of a divide between inside and out. You can move from the open-plan interior to the private pool terrace effortlessly, choosing to eat al fresco or in the elegant kitchen-dining area; curling up on the shaded daybed by the pool or on the comfortable sofa during the heat of the day. There are also glass-fronted Juliet balconies opening out from each of the upstairs bedrooms, so from the moment you wake up, there’s very little between you and the sunshine.
In short, Villa L’Esplendor lives up to its name – and given its location, it’s also the perfect choice for those who need a holiday with plenty of sun, sea and sand. Being on a quiet, residential road, getting out and about is easy. A ten-minute walk will take you to the nearby resort of Cala San Vicente which has shops for basic supplies, plus several cafes and restaurants. Hop into the car and, in the same time, you’ll reach vibrant Pollensa for a much wider choice of shopping and dining options. Or, for a few minutes more, you can enjoy the superb beach and upmarket promenade of Puerto Pollensa, where more tempting restaurants await, minimal effort required – just a glass of something cold, perhaps, as the sun goes down.

We have really loved our time here. It is such a lovely villa and has everything you could need, with the stunning views of the mountains to top it off. The outdoor area was loved by all. We hope to be back again soon. Thank you Amanda for being so attentive and helpful.
This was our second holiday at Villa L’Esplendor and it didn’t disappoint. Extremely well appointed, superbly comfortable and within walking distance of local amenities and the beach. A lovely week. Amanda was very welcoming and we had some great dinners in Pollença and Port de Pollença. We thoroughly enjoyed our second family holiday to Majorca and we would love to come back.

This is the first time we have been to Mallorca as a family and we loved it. We have loved the villa – the views are spectacular and it has the perfect balance of being in a quiet area but very close to the beach, shops, restaurants. The children (and adults) loved the pool and the pool room. We will definitely be back.

The villa was excellent although slightly further away from the village centre than we had expected. It was very well equipped, had very effective air con and the pool was great. Our concierge provided an excellent and timely service and sorted out a couple of problems that we had which were of our making ! We have already recommend Simpsons to friends. Amanda, our concierge was excellent and went beyond our expectations in resolving a lost " air pods" issue. She also organised bookings at restaurants for us during a very busy period.
