We obviously enjoyed our stay in Villa L'Alta so much that we booked for 2 weeks for the following year whilst we were there. It is a perfect villa with an outstanding view.

We really enjoyed our time at Villa L’Alta. The villa is perfectly situated with good views of the coast and surrounding countryside. We made good use of the plunge pool and barbecue and had a relaxing time there. The restaurants recommended by the local rep were excellent.

This is our first time self-catering and first time in Corsica and we’ve loved every minute. Nothing has been too much trouble for Sylvain and the caretaker – the villa, its setting and the views are all wonderful. Great weather and the pool has been so fantastic. Although the beaches are wonderful we loved going up inland – Cap de Bavella is breathtaking.

First time in Corsica, first time for a fortnight’s holiday in longer than I can remember. Absolutely loved the place. The island, the people, the Gulf, the villa, the wildlife. Every morning a joy to sit breakfasting, looking at the panoramic views and the butterflies on the lavender. Made friends with the Tyrrhenian lizards – incredibly tame. Lovely beaches – especially enjoyed the one just below us with great snorkelling and Campomoro is superb.

This has been our second stay here and third in Corsica. We have manged to find something new on each visit. This year’s gem was a drive up into the mountains on the D575 and D69 – fabulous views and lots of wildlife…it was a magical trip. We managed to pack in trips to Bonifacio, Porto Vecchio and Ajaccio. We also visited Filitosa – another first for us and well worth the visit. It was so lovely to just chill by the pool that we spent a lot of the time there, making use of the cool plunge pool when it got just too hot! We’ve loved being here again, enjoyed the local flora and fauna.

Stating the obvious – what a fantastic view and beautiful villa. Perfectly appointed! Ate out at La source in Olmeto, very good and friendly. Ate in 4 nights – fantastic relaxing afternoons and evenings. Visited many beautiful, quiet, unspoilt beaches, favourites are Campomoro and Perte Pollo. Great lunches at U Spuntino in Campomoro, La Cirque at Abbartello, Corsair at the end of Propriano road. A fantastic first week in Corsica with Zena, Sylvain and Simpson Travel. Hope it’s not the last. What a huge island – probably have to choose another area next time.

Our first visit to Corsica and it hasn’t disappointed us at all. View – spectacular, villa equally as good. Ate out three evenings (twice at La Source) and had a barbecue four nights out of seven! The villa has been equipped with everything we needed so why not sit and enjoy that view! Loved the fort at Bonifacio and a road trip into the mountains to Allene and Quenza – not for the faint-hearted if you’re scared of heights – but spectacular nonetheless. We will be back. Incredible week, very chilled, never got tired of the view. Barbecue six nights out of the seven! Definitely check out La Source in Olmetto. Great food, incredible views, not too pricey. Enjoy!

Villa l'Alta is a lovely modern villa with breath-taking views over The Valinco. To wake up in the morning and see those views from your bed is quite something.

This was our second visit to this lovely villa. We have certainly made the most of the view, barbeque and lovely pool. The highlight of our holiday was seeing a baby hawk on the rocks at the top of the swimming pool. I hope that we will be back here for a third visit soon!

This was our second visit to Corsica with Simpson Travel and we had a wonderful time in the stunning Villa l'Alta. Waking up to the breathtaking views across the bay, followed by breakfasts on the terrace, watching eagles and kites flying overhead – all heralded days of visiting the many sights and experiences that Corsica has to offer; or simply lazing by the beautiful plunge pool in the sun.

What can we say about this beautiful villa and its surroundings that hasn’t already been said? We ate breakfast every morning sitting on the terrace, watching eagles and kites soaring overhead. The plunge pool has been a joy – cooling our sun-baked feet. We have loved going out to explore the area – but have loved coming back to relax by and in the pool just as much. Really enjoyed our week at Villa l’Alta! Fantastic weather, fantastic view and a fantastic island. We enjoyed the local beaches, all gorgeous! We also enjoyed a trip into the mountains and a day trip to Bonifacio. We haven’t eaten out much, we preferred to eat in with the magnificent views and brilliant local rosé. Enjoy your stay here!
