NEW FOR 2025

Occasionally we come across properties that are so well designed they feel like a destination in their own right. Super-stylish Villa de la Lande is just such a house, superbly equipped for outdoor living and perfect for an extended family gathering or a group of friends.

Stepping from your villa directly onto a sun-warmed deck is a quintessential holiday pleasure, and at Villa de la Lande there’s this and so much more to enjoy in the immaculately tended gardens. If you don’t fancy the pristine swimming pool with its fountains for extra splashing fun, there’s a six-seater hot tub where you can soothe away any aches after hours in the surf or a long car journey. Little legs love the smooth lawns to play on and explore, and with hedges surrounding the whole garden, all this is yours to enjoy without being overlooked by holiday neighbours. There’s plenty of room for lounging and dining, plus hands down the most impressive outdoor kitchen we’ve ever seen, complete with a hob, fridge, grill, dishwasher and barbeque. And whilst you might never have thought about having a Smart TV in the garden, it’s a really lovely way to enjoy some downtime with the kids as a holiday treat before bed.

Life at Villa de la Lande feels like your own little summer world, but when you need to stock up or feel like a meal out, there’s everything you need within walking distance (ten minutes) in the nearby village of Tosse. Your nearest beach is the broad sands of Les Estagnots at Seignosse, with masses of space even in the height of summer and a deservedly popular beach bar for sunset drinks or an easy dinner watching silhouetted surfers bobbing in the evening calm.

Local Area

Nearby Tosse is a year-round village, with a bakery and selection of small shops and restaurants. There are tennis courts in the village and walking and cycling trails meander the 8km through the fragrant pine forests to a wonderful sandy beach. By car the joys of lively Hossegor, with its trendy boutiques and upmarket restaurants, are a 12-minute drive.  Seignosse, a similar distance from the villa, offers an 18-hole golf course, aqua park and an array of superb beaches catering for surf enthusiasts and families with young children alike.

The charming city of Bayonne, famed for its fine chocolate and cured hams, is 30-minute drive whilst world renowned Biarritz lies a little further south; offering an intoxicating blend of Belle Époque glamour, elegant eateries and fashionable shops. The picture postcard hillside villages of the Basque Country give an insight into the area’s rich cultural heritage and a visit to the pretty fishing port of St-Jean-de-Luz, the culinary capital of the region, is sure to delight, with its family-friendly beaches and historic town centre.

Once entirely marshland, this region is now a natural playground of sand dunes and beaches, pine forests and picturesque lakes, where walking and cycling are the most pleasurable ways of getting around. An idyllic meeting of France and California with truly spectacular waves and wide-ranging cuisine, upmarket Hossegor thrives on a surfing culture of stylish, laid-back living. However, in authentic Capbreton next door, and many of the towns and villages no more than an hour away, the historical roots go deeper and there’s much to explore.
